smiles.. i love my laptop but there's nothing that could replace a real book that smells of paper and adventure..
We'd like to live with even more cages..
Well, this has me trying to guess the story.
Your poem made me wonder about the context. Who she is, why she has to be out of sight...
nice rhyme scheme...i could spend all day in a bookstore or library....
There is something wonderful about holding a book, but I'll admit that I read more and more on my tablet. The diminishing need for bookshelves is somewhat alarming though!
Like the abstract take on Claudia's sketch; do not quite follow the thrust of it, but like the feel of it, & the direction it takes us.
This was a most interesting take on the painting. 2 old sages you say? Nicely done.
Two old sages..could be wisdom in those pages..
Nicely penned!
I can imagine they would miss the hard pages ~
I like this very much and almost chose this painting of Claudia's...old books on shelves, the musty scent almost reaches out at us...and I like how you made a snapshot of it but in poetry..
hmm...I cannot imagine a life without the physical, tangible feel of books. they are such a soothing presence....I imagine one day I will have a museum room instead of a library. hmmm...
Hours reading sounds wonderful! Thanks for linking this.
a real book will always have a soft corner in everyone's heart..lovely lines on this sketch..
the reader and the writer ...the two old sages who still hold the books in hand and spend hours together...
Reading a book like letter writing may in no time be discarded. If only the passion persists! Nicely Seaside!

only two bookcases left - I don't know, there is something I have not yet grown to like about electronic books -
"Missing hard pages" says it all for me--love my iPad but don't relate visually to the epage the way I do to a paper page.
